Raymond & Jennifer Johnson

Raymond was saved at the age of 14 while at a young men's camp. Raymond said, “From the time I was saved, I had a desire to serve the Lord through reaching the lost.  In 2014, my wife and I heard the Lord's call to serve Him full time.  After five years in prayer with the Elders at Colonial Hills Bible Chapel, we were commended to the Lord's work full time to serve with Ireland Outreach International on September 9, 2018.”

He has been married to his wife, Jennifer, for sixteen years and has four children. Jennifer Johnson, was  born and raised in Texas, where she met her husband, Raymond, while they worked over the summers at a music conservatory.  She enjoys homeschooling their four children.  Jennifer was saved at a young age, but said “I never truly knew the right way to live for Christ until I was an adult; at which time I was baptized after we transitioned to the Brethren Assemblies.  After attending an Ireland Outreach retreat, my heart went out to the work being done in Africa, like the fresh water projects, but especially the children and the school”. Johnson & Valsa John

Johnson & Valsa John have been serving the Lord full time since 1993. Right after getting married in Toronto, Canada in 1979, they settled in the Philadelphia area and started to work and raise their two children. In 1990, after resigning his job at a Hospital, Johnson attended Biblical Seminary in Hatfield, PA with a desire to learn the Word of God systematically, and graduated in 1993 with an M.Div. in Pastoral Ministry & Counseling. The same year he started to serve as an elder at the Philadelphia Brethren Assembly and the assembly commended them to full time ministry. Johnson served there until 2010 and then at Grace Gospel Chapel in Plumsteadville, PA until June 2021, along with his wife Valsa. During that time he served as an Evangelist and Minister of the Word in various places and local assemblies. They were actively encouraging & discipling the youth at Philadelphia Brethren Assembly as well as the youth of Tristate (PA, NY & NJ). As a full time elder at the Grace Chapel, Johnson was active in pastoral care including counseling, overseeing various administrative tasks, and organizing various support ministries.

They both were vital part of the prison ministry and other outreach ministries of the Grace Chapel. In 2021, Johnson & Valsa moved to Houston to be near their son & family. They started fellowshipping at Colonial Hills Bible Chapel and were commended by the elders to the proclamation of the gospel, ministry of the word & the edification of the saints. Now they are both committed to serve the Lord as the Lord leads and opens the door. Johnson currently is active in teaching & preaching the word of God at the chapel and is available to minister the Word of God in the area assemblies and other places as needed. Valsa is also active in teaching the Word for a women’s online bible study group. They are both active in counseling young couples, who are preparing to get married and also in other situations as needed. Johnson & Valsa have two married children with four grandchildren.
